Hotel Review – Santorini – Samson’s Village

9 June 2017

We recently went on holiday to Santorini and stayed at the fabulous Samson’s Village in Perissa. We absolutely loved the look of the hotel complex; it has the classic blue and white appearance that is common across the whole island, and is the perfect image of what people imagine Santorini to look like. We specifically searched for a hotel in this area of the island since it is right at the beach and is known to be relatively affordable. It was the beautiful, bright, colourful pictures that made us quickly choose this hotel, but it was the incredible service that makes us want to return again!

We made use of the airport pickup offered by the hotel to keep things moving smoothly upon arrival. It was 25 euros for the two of us and we were greeted by one of the super friendly staff members, who also helped us with our bags. This made our arrival much easier as it saved us from having to find a taxi, and we were able to instantly get a nice view of the island on the 20 minute drive.

Our room was perfect for two people and had a great view of the pool from the center of the Village. The apartment had everything we needed for a holiday, and even included a fully-equipped kitchen. It was full of bright, welcoming colours, and beautiful white walls with high, rounded ceilings. Every day we returned to find fresh sheets and towels, so the apartment felt fresh and new each time we entered.

The hotel was located directly across the road from Perissa beach, but when we needed a break from the scorching black sand we were able to make great use of the pool! The towels at the pool are complementary, which saved us a lot of space when it came to packing, and the different depths make it perfect for families as well. There is even a pool bar so you can relax with a cocktail as you soak up the sun!

On top of all these highlights, the staff at Samson’s Village certainly go above and beyond! They truly helped make our stay in Santorini perfect. Not only were they friendly and welcoming, but they also helped us to arrange our boat cruise and even arranged our four-wheeler to travel around the island. They made the process of booking these excursions seamless, and were willing to answer any questions we had.

We would highly recommend Samson’s Village to everyone looking for a fabulous Santorini vacation based on the location, price, and friendly staff. We hope to return someday soon!

That pool and hotel look magical! I love a good swim-up bar too, that’s pretty much the first thing I check off the list when picking a hotel to chill and relax at πŸ˜‰
